The data collection season for the aerial robot finally starts.

ULB and TRIER researchers start the data collection. The minor problems identified in the first flight are still there and their cause it is still unclear. To cope with it we have to reduce the flight speed of the UAV. This will require more flight to cover our area but will not affect the quality of the collected data.

However the biggest problem is the legal framework: unfortunately almost all Viterbo province is a restricted military area and drone’s flights are authorized only on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday. This is a huge strain on the aerial team which will lose almost all the summet’s week-ends…
